Pottery Show

May was a busy month!

One of my students, Sayuri, was part of a pottery show in Sakai, near Izumi Fuchu where I teach on Fridays. So we decided to do a little field trip with her classmates, and see her work. We had a wonderful time outside of the classroom!

My students: Sayuri, Fumi, and Eiko
Sayuri will have another Pottery show, but this time in CANADA!
I'm very happy for her :)

This is one of her works: A handbag
She said getting the right color and gloss are the most difficult aspects of Pottery

One of my favourite pieces in the show.
Sayuri's friend made these

Very Japanese style

These are all made to look like shells, made out of lots of little shells. Cute!
